We are thrilled by the announcement this month of a renewed investment of $1.375 million over five years from the BC government and the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) for the Centre for Gambling Research. We were privileged to host the Honourable Mike Farnworth, Deputy Premier, and Minister for Public Safety and Solicitor General, Dean Clare Crowston from UBC Faculty of Arts, Dr. Gail Murphy, Vice-President, Research and Innovation at UBC, as well as members of our Advisory Council from UBC, the provincial government, and BCLC, for the announcement event on 5 December.
